Light Therapy: Red Light & Near-Infrared Light Therapy

Red light and near-infrared light therapies deliver light energy to humans similar to the way plants absorb light produced by the sun. Unlike the sun, red light therapy uses only proven beneficial wavelengths of light to energize cells to perform more efficiently, help protect the body from damaging radiation, and bolster energy production inside every cell with which they interact.

Red Light is a form of visible radiation that exists between 600-700 nanometers in wavelength. When used in therapeutic treatments, the wavelength range is between 620-700 nanometers.

Near-infrared light is a form of radiation that exists between 700-10,000 nanometers in wavelength. This form penetrates the body more deeply than red light, meaning its healing benefits can access deeper cells and structures. When used in therapeutic treatments, the wavelength range is between 700-1000 nanometers.

The beneficial effects of ongoing light therapies have been demonstrated in studies:

  • Acne: wavelengths kill acne-causing bacteria, effectively calming breakouts and reducing redness for visibly improved, clearer skin. Helps to restore the skin’s healthy balance.

  • Pain: wavelengths soothe tired muscles, aches, and pains, increase local blood circulation, and accelerate recovery. Help to relieve pain naturally with a soothing treatment that sets the body's inherent healing and pain-relieving process in motion.

  • Tissue Repair/Burns: wavelengths soothe pain, increase local blood circulation, and accelerate recovery. Studies show improved healing time and scar formation.

  • Dermatologic Conditions: Psoriasis, Eczema, Hypertrophic scars, Vitiligo, Hair Loss, Other Dermatitis

  • Anti-aging/Wrinkles
