It is a new year and 2024 has so much potential for all of us. Do you have any goals? Are these goals related to bettering your relationship with yourself?

As I look ahead, this year is about loving ourselves. Loving who we are and how far we’ve come.

What does that path look like for you? Has it been easy or challenging? Has it been calm or an emotional rollercoaster? If you are like me, it has likely been a combination of all of those things.

I have never been one to make resolutions but I do try my best to learn more each year. I continue to learn academically and professionally but am also learning how to be a better daughter and sister, a better aunt and dog mom, and an overall better human being.

In my profession, I get to meet a lot of different people, all of whom have taught me more about patience, acceptance, and self-love. Where one may see a flaw, someone else sees originality and beauty. We are all our own worst critics and it is time to allow ourselves some grace.

Grace to make mistakes and learn from them. Grace to live unapologetically for who you are. Grace to know that life isn’t easy, but you are trying your best with the resources you have available. Be proud of the goals you have achieved thus far on your path to success and know that you are wiser as a result.

I hope that this year is your best year yet and that you continue to shine like the beauties you are.
